Finished Basement - Under Construction!

Longmont, CO Starting with an unfinished basement a new layout was designed to add a 3/4 bath, craft room, wine cellar, storage room, and TV room/guest bedroom, as well as enclosing the existing mechanical equipment and outlining a more clear fitness area. In order to lay out these spaces as accurately as possible dimensions of the existing exercise equipment and storage racks were used to create 1:1 digital stand-ins, as well as any planned furniture purchases. Custom under-stair storage on two side was created to take advantage of unused space in order to further improve the flexibility of the project additions.

From the ground to the custom roofline this space was made to allow quick and easy indoor access from the other home in case of emergencies or adverse weather conditions, but also designed in such a way to maintain privacy and freedom for the occupant, all while seamlessly blending into the adjacent space. Every inch of this home was designed with ease-of-use and total indepedence in mind, as open as possible with limited hallways, and the overall feel the owner was envisioning.
